Another cold Saturday here on Cape Cod. Currently a zero wind chill. Dress warm!
First flowers of the new year – crocuses in our front yard.
This is our new office/studio. We are now moved in but it will take several weeks to get truly organized – plus we’re having to do inventory/tax prep at the same time. It has a nice view of Main Street and should also be a vast improvement when it comes to the photography end of things.
Back from a walk downtown. The few remaining open stores and restaurants are getting ready to close.
First snow fall of the year! Only about 3 inches, but still. It will be all gone by later today, as the temperatures will approach 50.
We unexpectedly found a beach plum patch in North Truro yesterday. Hats come in handy!
It’s either weeding or deadheading. Despite the drought though, it’s been a good year for our flowers and veggies.
The unofficial end of summer ends appropriately enough – with rain and wind. Still not enough rain to ease the drought though. All it means is that we won’t have to water the gardens today. Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend!
Getting out in the garden before it gets too warm. The hot, dry summer is beginning to take its toll.
We were becoming worried when we didn’t see a single bee throughout the month of June. As more and more flowers bloomed, we finally started to see them. Now (July 31) are garden is full of these busy little workers. We even saw our first hummingbird yesterday, albeit briefly.
